2019 Creation

Répliques is a duo between dance and acrobatics. Set within an original scenography featuring two motorised cubes moving along circular rails, the performers seek balance and suspension, brushing past the audience and sweeping them into the movement. Each on their own platform, the performers face each other, watch each other, imitate each other, and react to one another. It is a male face-off where the notion of imbalance is dominant. The show is conceived as a series of ripostes, building in a crescendo. It is a joyful quest for self-transcendence, for bravado in order to fly, for listening in order to move forward. A battle between two men who, through sheer ingenuity, will eventually unite to go further together.
