Le grand jeté !
Le grand jeté ! is an association created in June 2002, based in Cluny, in southern Burgundy. It benefits from a triennial agreement with the Drac Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the town of Cluny, the Departmental Council of Saône-et-Loire and the Regional Council of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
Le grand jeté ! is also the Festival Cluny Danse, which promotes the arts of movement in public space, every year during the third week of May.
The company carries the work of choreographer Frédéric Cellé, who develops his universe around acrodance, blending contemporary dance with a sensitive exploration of acrobatics.
The company is a “Resource Place” in the Department of Saône-et-Loire and is the artistic reference for dance options at the Pontus de Thiard high school in Chalon-sur-Saône.
In the city as on stage, always on the alert, Frédéric Cellé creates works for public space and on stage.
The company is co-directed by Annick Boisset and Frédéric Cellé, and employs Mélanie Gelin for tour logistics and coordination of the Festival Cluny Danse.
The company works with performers, choreographic assistants, set designers, dramaturges, lighting and sound designers, costume designers and dressmakers, to offer shared live performances.

Frédéric Cellé

Frédéric Cellé was trained as a dancer at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon. He worked as a performer at the Grand Théâtre d’Ireland for the revival of Désert d’amour by Dominique Bagouet. He then joined the companies of Marie Coquil, Nathalie Collantès, La Camionetta (F. Ramalingom and H. Catala), Propos (D. Plassard), Velvet (J. Leighton), Gambit (D. Guilhaudin), Beau Geste (D. Boivin), Vivid.Danse (I. Makuloluwe) and Sylvie Guillermin.
He proposes a physical dance that explores acrodance as a sensitive language, not merely demonstrative. This particularly physical style of dance for the performers is stimulating for the audience’s eye.
The company’s latest creations are inspired by the aesthetic current of «Dance floor work».
Today, deeply rooted in acrodance, his artistic work explores the themes of “solidarity” and “living together”.
